Joy Ride!

Hee hee! So I got my neighbor Pat and we took Daddy's fancy new bike out for a ride. I just wanted to try it out. The best part is it even has a sippy cup holder for my milk. I look pretty cool don't I? Just don't tell Daddy!

Rock Star!

I love my new guitar! I have so much fun singing and playing with it ~ it's an everyday activity. Just don't let me quit my day job just yet! :) (Wait, do I have a day job?) Sorry this video is a little dark, maybe I can get Mommy to take a new one in better light.

PS This song is dedicated to Marc & Shelley for giving me this fun instrument!

Slip Sliding Away!

I am having so much fun on my new play structure. I can go up the stairs, down the slide and back around over and over again. Today I also had fun (with Mommy's help) putting balls onto the platform and sliding them down the slide. Then I had her put the foam edges from the mats up there and slid down with them. What a blast!

I'm Two!

I can't believe I'm 2 already! I am growing up so fast! I weigh about 26 pounds and am around 34" tall. Almost 3 feet! (These are unofficial measurements though, since Mommy tried to take them while I was being wiggly.) It's fun being 2! I can do so much now and I know a ton of words. I can count to 5 and say part of my ABC's. I love having my picture taken and even say "cheese" with a big grin when someone gets a camera out. I am getting better at stacking things and love to see what fits into different containers. Anything to do with water is still a favorite activity. Whether it's a bath, shower, playing in the sink or with a hose. It's all good! My favorite things are Curious George, my Froggie and Bear blankies, my guitar, the Zoo, the park and my playground at home.

Happy Birthday To Me!

Mommy & Daddy threw me a birthday party today. I turn TWO tomorrow! Can you believe it? Time goes by so fast.
Since one of my favorite things is Curious George, that was the theme for my party. Mommy made me a cupcake Curious George cake. Pretty cool huh? I tried to eat it all morning long. Actually did sneak in a couple of bites. Good thing Mommy made extra cupcakes! When I did finally get to eat it I licked the frosting off first, then ate the cake.
It was fun to have some of my friends come over and play with me. I didn't get pictures of everyone, but Madisen, Zach, Tessa, Avery, Leya & Sammy were all here. Nana, Grandpa & Grandma, and other friends came as well. It was fun to see Tessa walking, Sammy crawling and Leya having a blast with the balloons. It was great to see Avery too (it's been way too long!).
Thank you everyone for coming to celebrate with me! I am enjoying the gifts that I received. :)

It Is Finished!

Daddy, Grandpa, Uncle Chris and Roger all worked really hard to finish the play structure before my birthday party today. There's still some work to do with the mats, but otherwise it was ready to play on. Isn't it awesome? I am having so much fun playing on it! :) Yeah! Thank you everyone who helped put it together for me!

My New Playground...In Progress!

I'm so excited! My new playhouse/swingset is going to be so much fun. Daddy has been working really hard to create a flat area in our backyard to build it on. The boxes have been in our garage for a couple of months now. Finally, with a ton of help from some friends (Roger, Craig, Brian, Ray & Toni) it is being built! There is still a lot left to build, but it looks great! Thank you for helping out my Daddy. :)

Seattle

On Saturday we spent the day in Seattle. Daddy went to REI for a while and wished he had more time there. We met Aunt Michelle's family and Uncle Mark's friend Reese for lunch at Ivar's. After lunch we went to the Pacific Science Center. That was fun. They had water cannons you could aim at targets and lots of fun stuff inside, like this helicopter Daddy & I sat in. We even saw the space needle, but didn't go up in it. There was so much to do, I was exhausted afterwards.

A Beach in Bellingham

On Friday Uncle Mark took us to lunch at the taco truck (yummy!), for a tour of Bellingham and then to a beach to play for a while. They had some great tidepools. We saw baby crabs, eels, starfish and jelly fish. It was pretty cool. There was also a boat playground which was fun. Then Daddy climbed up a "rock" made of tin from an old canning factory. Carson was a little fussy, so Daddy put him in the stroller and we offroaded around until he fell asleep. Nothing better than a bouncy stroller to fall asleep in.

Playtime at a Park near Uncle Mark's House

One afternoon I got to go to a park and play
at the playground. We watched doggies swim in the lake and I also played in the sand. It was a fun afternoon. Daddy loved it too, because he got to go to REI while Mommy, Grandpa, Grandma & I played.

Snow at Mt Baker

Grandpa wanted to go up to Mt Baker on Thursday, so we drove up there. It was almost a 2 hour drive, but I slept most of the way and so did Carson. When we got near the top of the mountain it was snowing! It was so fun. Grandpa, Daddy, Mark and I threw snowballs. Then Grandpa decided to be silly and get out his umbrella. It was cold, but I didn't care. It was worth getting a little chilly and have frozen fingers (we weren't exactly prepared for snow!). Then on the drive back down the mountain Daddy spotted a black bear crossing the road. We tried to take pictures, but he moved too fast and they didn't turn out.

My First Trip To Bellingham, Washington

Last Tuesday we left for Washington to visit my Uncle Mark, Aunt Michelle and Cousin Carson! Carson is almost 4 months old. Mark is my Mommy's brother. I had so much fun. It took me a couple of days to get used to a new place to live, but it was fine and I even slept well in Mommy & Daddy's room.

I got to fly on a plane, chase around their kitty Manny, go for walks, play in snow, go to the beach, a park and the Pacific Science Center in Seattle. I saw lots of wild animals ~ deer, bunnies & even a black bear! Grandpa & Grandma flew up a few days before us and so I got to play with them too!

I added a link to Carson's blog to the left (under My Friends & Family), if you want to see what he's up to.
