"Dog" Lake

This afternoon we hiked up to "dog" Lake.  That's what Grandpa calls it because there are usually a lot of dogs up here.  Mommy & Andrew didn't come, since Andrew needed a nap.

There was even some snow up here. Fun!

Devil's Postpile

We're in Mammoth!  Yeah!  I'm so excited to be here. It's one of my favorite places to go.  Today we went to Devil's Postpile for our first hike. 

Grandpa & I threw rocks down into the creek that float!  It was so cool. They were light weight and would float in the water. I took several home (one for everyone to keep).

My First School Field Trip - To The Pumpkin Patch!

Today we went on our first class field trip!  To the pumpkin patch!  I have been so excited about going on school bus to the pumpkin patch, I could hardly contain myself.

We all wore these October hats that we made in class and had name tags with our school name & phone number just in case we got lost.

We pumped water at the well, played in the hay, rode on a hay ride, and picked out a pumpkin that we got to take home.

Happy Birthday Nathaniel!

Today we went to the Farm to celebrate Nathaniel's 5th birthday.  It was a Cowboy & Indians party.

Chester Raccoon

Today it was my turn to take home Chester Raccoon from school.  We had to read a book about Chester and hang out with him for the day.  Then I took him back to school the next morning for someone else to have a turn.  I was so tired this afternoon that we took a nap together.

Slip N Sliding Fun

I got this cool slip n slide for my birthday and today we played on it.  It was so much fun. It's really cool that it also has a pool at the end.

Labor Day Fun

Today we went to the zoo with Aunt Stephanie and Paysen.

 I love bouncing on this tree!

Then in the afternoon we played in the sandbox and in the backyard.  We had lots of fun.

My First Day of Kindergarten

Today was my first day of Kindergarten!  I'm so excited to be in Kindergarten!

I biked to school, while Daddy & Mommy walked and Andrew was in the stroller. 

We went over to Staci & Sasha's house before school, prayed with them and then walked to school together.
I'm so glad I have friends already at my new school. 

 First we went to our classroom and hung up our backbacks outside on a hook.

 Here I am in front of the door to my classroom.  My teacher is Mrs. DeLaney.

 

Then we went out to the playground to play until the whistle blew. 

Kindergartners have a playground all to themselves.

 Once the whistles blow, we have to line up on our class line. 

When we're all ready, our teacher leads us to our classroom.

I'm excited to have Staci in the same class as me.  My other friend, Sasha is also in Kindergarten, but he's in another classroom nearby. There are 3 classes of Kindergarteners here at Brandon this year.

Once we got to our room, we sat down in a square on the rug to listen to our teacher.

We learned about our new school today. At lunch I even saw Mrs. McCoy from our church. She works here too!  It's so nice to see familiar faces.  After school today, we went outside, got our backpacks and waited to be picked up.

I had a good day today!  I think I'm going to like Kindergarten!
