Daddy found a bird in our backyard today. He went around to our neighbors houses to find its owner, but no one claimed him. One neighbor let us borrow a cage for him and another gave us some bird food. Daddy & I call him Chicken Little. I love the bird. He is fun to play with. I am gentle with him and even give him kisses. He loves to sit on my firetruck. I will miss him when he goes home.

I'm 3! Happy Birthday to Me!
Tonight we went out to California Pizza Kitchen for my birthday. Mommy signed me up, so that I got a free dinner, complete with a yummy sundae that had m&m's on top! It was the best part of dinner. In fact it was so good, I had to drink the melted part when I was done. Can you believe I'm actually 3?
Gymnastics - One Last Time
Today we took Papa to see me at gymnastics. I did great today and participated in everything that I was supposed to. I was happy to have Papa there to see what I've been doing lately.
It was my last day at gymnastics though. I haven't been participating as much as I should have, so Mommy & Daddy decided we'd try something else. I think I'll be doing swim lessons next, so stay tuned.

My New Kitchen Toys
I am having so much fun playing with my new microwave, pizza and food that I was given for my birthday. It's fun to "heat" up the food in the microwave and give it to Papa. He pretends it's hot which makes me laugh and then I'll go heat it up some more. I enjoy cutting my vegetables, fruit and pizza and then serving it to whomever is around. The food is already in pieces and velcros together, so I can cut it apart.

Happy Birthday To Me! I'm 3! (well almost)
Today I had people over to celebrate my 3rd birthday. It was a construction theme and Daddy was the Foreman. I got to help Shelley and Mommy finish decorating my birthday cake by putting the "dirt" on the cake. Hmmm yummy! It was really hard to resist eating it before my friends arrived.
Looks like everyone loved my cupcake cake. Mommy made them extra special by baking chocolate chip cookie dough into the middle of them.

Tonsils, Adenoids, & Ear Tubes, Oh My!
Today I had my tonsils and adenoids taken out and I also had my tubes in my ears redone. Mommy took me down to the outpatient center at Cottage Hospital. My appointment wasn't until 8:15 am and I couldn't eat or drink anything after I went to bed. What a bummer! Grandma, Grandpa and Nana met us down there and helped entertain me while we waited. Surgery wasn't scheduled until 9:30, so we had lots of time to hang around. Another little boy who was having surgery lent me a book to read and then Grandma brought me some new people to play with. That entertained me for quite a while. Finally, they took us back to the prep area and gave me some fun medicine. Everyone thought I looked drunk, whatever that means. Then we watched Pooh's Heffelump movie for a while while the medicine kicked in. My nurse was our friend from church, Priscilla. It was nice to have a friend with me. After the surgery, Daddy came over from work across the street to be with me for a little bit and then Mommy took over (or at least tried to). The nurses left to get some pain medicine for me and Mommy started to not feel so good. Can't bring her anywhere near a hospital. So sad! They had to take her to a recovery room and put a wet washcloth on her forehead. Luckily I fell asleep, so I didn't notice that both Mommy & Daddy were gone. At least the nice nurses took good care of me. After another hour or so, I got to go out to the recovery room with Mommy & Grandpa and watch PBS and have a Popsicle. I wasn't too interested in it though. I think most of it melted. I fell asleep again and after a couple more hours we got to go home. Then I ate a ton of ice-cream. I guess that's one good thing about this surgery. That and all my favorite people were with me most of the day. At least it's over now!

Little Drummer Boy
One of my favorite things to do at church is go up on stage and play the drums. Sometimes I get to play when Mommy is on worship team, during rehearsal. They let me drum for them. (Mostly I think it's just to keep me entertained, but I don't care - it's fun!). Otherwise, I have to wait until church is over and then I can play while everyone is standing around talking to each other. It's good entertainment. The cool thing is I actually can keep a beat sometimes, so I sound pretty good!
Happy Easter!
Happy Easter! Today everyone went to Opa & Nana's house for lunch after the church service at the Sunken Gardens. I had fun playing with Madisen on my new car and on the trampoline.
Before lunch, Opa hid Easter eggs for us to find. I enjoyed eating the candy & nuts I found inside them. One even had a little frog flashlight inside it. So fun!

My New Wheels

I went over to Opa & Nana's house last night for a sleepover. I was so excited that I kept asking when Nana was coming to pick me up about every 2 minutes. I couldn't contain my grin when she finally arrived. Then Opa surprised me with this fun car. I was a little intimidated by it at first and Opa was so patient with me while trying to teach me how to drive it. I liked it best when Opa pushed it, instead of using its own power. Thank you Opa!
Easter Egg Hunt
This afternoon Mommy took me to Grandma's church (St. Andrew's) for an Easter egg hunt. I was a little shy at first, but once I started finding eggs (with help from Mommy & Grandma) then I didn't want to stop. It was so much fun. After my nap, I got to open all my eggs and see what was inside them. I put the candy in a bag and played with the ball and stickers that were in some of the eggs. I can't wait to go back and hunt for eggs next year.
