Snow at Mt Baker
My First Trip To Bellingham, Washington
I got to fly on a plane, chase around their kitty Manny, go for walks, play in snow, go to the beach, a park and the Pacific Science Center in Seattle. I saw lots of wild animals ~ deer, bunnies & even a black bear! Grandpa & Grandma flew up a few days before us and so I got to play with them too!
I added a link to Carson's blog to the left (under My Friends & Family), if you want to see what he's up to.

Watching George
I love watching Curious George. I wake up in the morning and it's the first thing I want to do. It's also the only way to keep me still for any length of time. This morning I went into Mommy & Daddy's room at 5:40, just as Daddy's alarm was going off and his work was calling him (A very busy moment) and turned on the light and said "watch George." Needless to say, Mommy & Daddy weren't very happy at the early wake up call and I didn't get to watch George until later in the morning. I usually sit in my monkey chair when I watch George, but today I just laid on the floor. Our carpets were cleaned yeasterday, so there wasn't any furniture to sit on. It was a very empty room, but at least I still had George.

Angel

Tonight we went to dinner at Nana & Opa's house. After dinner when we were getting ready to leave, Opa gave me a glow stick bracelet. I proceeded to put it over my head and say "angel". Then I put it over Nana's head and said "angel" again. Not sure where I learned about angel's, but everyone sure thought it was cute.

Verbal Explosion
The past couple of weeks have been amazing. I am learning so many new words and even starting to put words together in small phrases! Mommy & Daddy get so excited when I say something new. They just think it is sooo cute. I amaze them all the time. I will also repeat ANYTHING you say, or at least selected words in whatever you are saying.
Let me give you a few examples:
Last Friday Toni came over to play with me while Mommy worked, and I was walking around the house saying "Where's Toni?" after Mommy told me she was coming.
On Sunday I climbed into the car's driver's seat and said "scoot up" so I could get closer to the steering wheel and then added "seatbelt", because you can't drive anywhere without your seatbelt on. (Mom still didn't let me drive, even though I was totally prepared!).
Yesterday I told Daddy I wanted an egg for breakfast and then changed my mind, so I said "oat, change it". Oatmeal is my favorite breakfast right now.
I also told Daddy I wanted "waffles" while Mommy was on speaker phone (she was at work). Daddy said he didn't know how to make waffles, so I said "Mommy, waffles". Still didn't get any waffles though. Maybe I can convince Mommy to make them this weekend when she has more time in the morning.
I am also getting good at people's names. I can say some of Mommy's friends names and all the people who take care of me. They all think that's pretty great too!

A Trip to the SB Zoo

Today we went to Zoo. I got to see lots of fun animals and play in the Giraffe Jeep (One of my favorite things to do). I love the zoo. We've been so many times I know where everything is and could show you around. (It's a good thing we're members). I included a picture of Mommy this time (even though I was a bit distracted by the Boom Booms (Turtles) & fishes and it was too dark, so we tweaked the color a bit. Maybe one these times I'll smile when she isn't the one taking the picture.

My New "Big Kid" Bed
Today Mommy & Daddy moved a new bed into my room. It is the top bunk from the bunk bed that has been in the spare room. It's great because it already has rails on it, so I won't fall out while I sleep. (I tend to wiggle around a lot!). Mommy & Daddy decided it was time to change beds. I mastered climbing out of the crib (even with a sleep sack on), so it made Mommy nervous to keep me in my crib. Now the bed is closer to the ground, so it should be safer for me to get out of it. Last night I slept just fine and today I took almost a 4 hour nap, so it must be comfy! I will miss my crib though. When I woke up this morning I pointed at it and said "Own," which means "mine."
One Hot Santa Barbara Day!
It was really hot today. Mommy said our temperature was 98 at our house. That is so warm I didn't even want to play outside, until Mommy got out the hose and a big tub to play in. Then I thought it would be fun to put a bowl on my head. Ahhhh, got to love summer weather. (Especially since you don't have to wear clothes!)

Escape From Naptime!!!
This is no April Fool's joke, I can really escape from my crib again. Mommy thought Daddy was kidding when he called her at work to tell her what I'd done. But he was telling the truth! I used to propel myself out the front of the crib, but Daddy put up a 2x4 to stop me from doing that. Now I figured out how to climb up the back and over the side. I think it may be time for a big kid's bed. What do you think?
